Mount an ISO image with Linux

If you have a file ending in ".iso", it's easy to "mount" it and make it appear just like a physical disk.

Open a terminal (in GNOME, Applications->Accessories->Terminal) and type

sudo mkdir -p /media/iso

sudo mount -o loop file.iso /media/iso

where "file.iso" is the name your ISO file (if that file is not in your home directory, you'll have to type its full path, such as "/home/user/Desktop/file.iso").

The "virtual" disk is now mounted at /media/iso.
